Intern Architect is an entry level, developmental and supportive position to the Architectural Group. The Intern Architect works under the direction of experienced professional design staff and receives specific and detailed instructions regarding tasks and expected results.

Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Architecture
- Verbal, written, graphic and drafting skills necessary to communicate concepts and solutions to team members, clients, consultants and contractors

Strong knowledge of design documents including guidelines, reports, comprehensive planning documents and final presentation material
- Knowledge of building, planning and zoning codes as they relate to the project and its design
- Technical knowledge and understanding of the architectural and engineering components of a building, and the relationship these components have as part of a building system
- Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe.
Responsibilities:
- Support Architects through developing design concepts, presentation material, and contract documentation
- Serve in support of the project team leadership and be able to determine procedures for all phases of design and document production
- Prepare architectural plans and renderings, consult with manufacturers, evaluate and select materials
- Develop design and technical design solutions for specific areas of a project and ensure the design integrity through the Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction phases
- Create a variety of materials including sketches, renderings, models, presentation boards, material boards, graphics, details, sections, elevations and schedules
- Assist in preparation of rezoning submission and development permit packages
- Establish productive working relationships, and deal effectively and cooperatively with team members, consultants, and government agencies
- Assist in preliminary code and by-law analysis
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the appropriate use of building systems, materials, and technologies. Show initiative in the research of alternative systems and materials
- Demonstrate knowledge of building, planning, and zoning codes as they relate to the project and its design
- Review shop drawings and submittals for technical and design intent compliance
- Assignment will be based on specific project requirements and general workload requirements to provide the opportunity for professional development
