Avra Named Best Multi-Family High-Rise Development

We are pleased to announce that the Avra, a White Rock high-rise tower created by Chris Dikeakos Architects, Inc. (CDA) and Epta Properties, won a Grand Georgie Award for “best multi-family high-rise development.”

The Georgie Awards, which celebrate distinction in home building, were created by the Canadian Home Builders' Association of British Columbia (CHBA BC) to recognize industry excellence. The awards are provincial in breadth, and highlight a commitment to the exceptional standards set forth by CHBA BC members.

The 17-storey Avra high-rise tower, crowned with a signature “butterfly” roof that floats above its scenic surroundings, flaunts striking accents, including exposed concrete frames, floor to ceiling windows, and peaceful amenity spaces. With liveability in mind, suites were carefully crafted for optimal views, streaming sunlight, and outdoor access. The amenity spaces feature full workout facilities, an elaborate double-height lounge space, and an outdoor BBQ facility. Shaped with a strong commitment to green building standards and sustainability, Avra was designed to respect the surrounding environment and beloved White Rock community.

“It’s an honour to win the Georgie Award for ‘Best Hi-Rise of 2013’ for the Avra development,” says Chris Dikeakos, founding and Managing Principal at CDA. “This award is a true testament to the successful collaboration between Avra Development Corporation and Epta Properties, the builder, Robert Bosa of the Quorum Group, and the entire Consultant team,” added Dikeakos.
